Senior photography is something I hold close to my heart and I am very proud of each and every one of my senior shoots. As I’m sure you’ve seen, my approach is a little different from other photographers.
My favorite part was shooting at the fire station! It’s such a big part of my life and I’m glad we were able to incorporate it. – Madeline Zimmerman
First, I am adamant that every senior has a story to tell. They all have something to teach ME as well, so establishing a relationship is important. This is accomplished through FaceTime chats, online questionnaires, a collaborative Pinterest board and custom storyboarding.
Moving dumpsters in the alleys to take pictures was definitely the craziest part. – Alec Scaffidi
I do not offer a timed, one-day-only shoot if more is needed. For example, I have seniors who are in marching band and want to share that part of their story. We will shoot during marching season and then do a full shoot later in the year to round out their photographs.
It was a lot of fun to just be able to relax and create something awesome. – Kylee Reid
Video is also included in my senior shoots. Actual video clips of activities my seniors enjoy, as well as personal interviews, are fused together with still photographs into a final production piece that is hosted online as well as provided to you on USB. Many of my senior parents show this video during their graduation parties and it’s perfect to watch on days when you miss your child after they’ve headed to college.
I did not think I would become emotional but I did. – Valerie Baez
I offer several packages for senior products that include prints, wall art and albums, but I also custom design packages specifically for what my senior families are looking for; not everyone wants the same. Decisions for final products are made during your in-person premiere in my Galveston studio loft where you’ll see your video and photographs for the first time projected onto a big screen.
The craziest thing was probably playing my flute on the Strand. I’d never played in public on the street like that, and it was just a really strange experience for me to watch all the people walking by watch me as I played. – Rachel Thompson
